Air Force One landing at the Youngstown-Warren OH Regional Airport July 4th, 1996

Audio clip (1 minute 31 seconds, 983 Kb)

On July 4th, 1996, President Clinton made a campaign appearance in Youngstown Ohio. This excerpt is a recording starting with the first contact with Youngstown Approach Control. It continues until the last recorded transmission to Youngstown Tower at the Fetch intersection, 4.1 miles from the airport. Dead space has been edited out. Note how Air Force One's pilot demands priority over an aircraft that would normally have right of way. Not exactly the square-shooter pilot from the movie "Air Force One" - but, then again, Bill Clinton is no Harrison Ford :-)
